CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Dom Lau started his career after being approached, at the age of 14, by a modelling scout in Hong Kong  where his first professional job was a TV commercial for Coca Cola in 1996. Following this, he continued to feature in numerous print ads, runway shows and TV commercials across Asia before making his break in 2005 when he debuted on network television. It was here that Dom spent 5 years gaining immense popularity and fame across Asia, as “VJ Dom”, presenting on Channel [V], STAR World, and STAR Movies, which are all part of the Fox International Channels parent company.

In 2010 he moved on to host E! News Asia alongside co-host Marion Caunter. E! News Asia is the Asian version of the popular celebrity news show E! News which is part of the NBC Universal Network. It was here that Dom earned the nickname “Asia’s Ryan Seacrest” – a reference to his American counterpart Ryan Seacrest who hosted the original format in the US and who, like Dom, also hosted a radio chart show.

In 2012, during his stint with E! News Asia, Dom hosted the popular weekly football shows, “Tiger Goals on Sunday” & “Goalzone” on Singapore's SingTel on-air platform, Mio TV for which he won, ‘Best Sports Presenter’ at the 2012 Asian Television Awards.

In 2013 Dom signed on to become the face and voice of Asia Pop 40, the first and only regional weekly chart countdown radio show produced in Asia. The show is broadcast to over 90 countries across multiple markets including China, SEA, Australia and New Zealand.

In 2016, Dom caught the attention of Singapore-based martial arts promotion ONE Championship. After a stint as a freelance ring announcer in the “home of martial arts”  martial arts promotion, Dom signed on as their full-time official ring and circle announcer in 2017 where he still remains today. He has since become known for his tagline “Here We Go!” which came naturally during a ONE event and has stuck ever since.
