Dom Lau’s dynamic career in entertainment began at just 14 years old when a modeling scout discovered him in Hong Kong. His first professional gig was a Coca-Cola TV commercial in 1996, marking the start of a prolific journey. Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, Dom became a sought-after face in Asia, starring in print ads, runway shows, and TV commercials across the region.
Breakout as VJ Dom on Network Television
In 2005, Dom transitioned to network television, earning fame as “VJ Dom” on Fox International Channels platforms, including Channel [V], STAR World, and STAR Movies. For five years, his charismatic presence captivated audiences across Asia, establishing him as a household name in entertainment.

Hosting E! News Asia
In 2010, Dom took on a pivotal role as co-host of E! News Asia, the Asian adaptation of the globally renowned celebrity news show under the NBC Universal Network. His engaging style earned him the nickname “Asia’s Ryan Seacrest,” drawing parallels to the iconic American host.
During this period, Dom also hosted Singapore’s SingTel Mio TV football programs, Tiger Goals on Sunday and Goalzone, winning the prestigious Best Sports Presenter award at the 2012 Asian Television Awards.
Leading ASIA POP 40
In 2013, Dom became the face and voice of Asia Pop 40, the first regional weekly chart countdown radio show produced in Asia. Broadcast to over 90 countries, including China, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, the show solidified his reputation as a leading media personality in the region.

Ring Announcer for ONE Championship
In 2016, Dom joined ONE Championship, the premier martial arts promotion based in Singapore. Starting as a freelance ring announcer, he became the official ring and circle announcer in 2017. Known for his electrifying tagline, “Here We Go!”, Dom continues to energize audiences at ONE Championship events, cementing his status as a versatile and iconic figure in sports entertainment.
